Hi, we're Nicole and Sawyer — a real family that invests time and effort in this community. Between us we work in real estate and insurance, we're raising a houseful of young kids, and we know firsthand what it feels like to desperately need a getaway that actually delivers on its promise.
We respond quickly, we stock thoughtfully, and we genuinely lose sleep over the details — because we stay at The Grenquist Farmhouse ourselves. Our kids have claimed the bunk beds. We've lost embarrassingly at the Marvel vs. Capcom arcade. This isn't a Cumberland, Wisconsin vacation rental we manage from a distance — it's a place we love and take personal pride in every single time guests walk through the door.
What that means for you: the coffee station is fully stocked because we wished it was when we traveled. The sound machines are in every bedroom because our kids need them and yours probably do too. Honestly? The property chose us.
We weren't searching for a lake house in Cumberland, Wisconsin specifically — we fell hard for this particular property the moment we set foot on it. I remember the exact moment we knew we were buying it: we were standing on the beach with the dock already out of the lake for the season, looking out at the water. And without saying a word, we both just saw it — our kids out there every summer, swimming in the lake, jumping off the raft, playing on the beach without a care in the world. That was it.
Grenquist Lake is one of Polk County's hidden gems — peaceful, uncrowded, and genuinely beautiful in every season.
